Long Han, MD, graduated from Northwestern University, The Feinberg School of Medicine in 1988. Subsequently, between 1988 and 1989, he interned in internal medicine at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University. He went on to be a resident in Anesthesiology at the University of Chicago between 1989 and 1992.
Dr. Han is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists and has been certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology. He is also a member of the International Anesthesia Research Society.
He served as a moderator for the Regional Refresher Course at the American Society of Anesthesiologists in Chicago in 1994. He has also been an instructor at the Transesophageal Echocardiography Anesthesia and Critical Care Conference.
Long Han, MD, currently works as an anesthesiologist at the Ascension Sts. Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. He conducts cardiovascular anesthesia at the center and was awarded Teacher of the Year in 2015. He also works as an assistant professor of Clinical Anesthesia at the University of Chicago and lectures on adult and pediatric general and cardiovascular anesthesia.
